Can it handle the VAT Margin Scheme for second-hand phones?

Yes. Mobile POS keeps the purchase price and sale price together for each handset, so the margin is recorded against the unit rather than reconstructed later, and invoices under the scheme are produced in the required form. Confirm the treatment for your business with your accountant.

Under the VAT Margin Scheme a VAT-registered shop accounts for VAT on the difference between what it paid for a used handset and what it sold it for, rather than on the full selling price. That only works if both figures are tied to the individual handset, which is why IMEI-level tracking matters here.

A margin scheme invoice also differs from a normal one: it must not show VAT as a separate line. Mobile POS produces the correct form for margin-scheme sales.

We record what you did; we do not file anything for you, and this is not tax advice. Your accountant decides what is right for your business.
