Cookies

Short version: we use what the app needs to work, and nothing for advertising.

Last updated: 27 October 2026

We don’t ask for cookie consent, and here is why

UK law requires consent for cookies that are not strictly necessary — analytics, advertising, cross-site tracking. We don’t use any of those, so there is nothing to consent to and no banner to dismiss. If that changes, we will ask properly before setting anything, rather than burying it in a pre-ticked box.

What we do store

WhatPurposeHow long
Session tokenKeeps you signed in as you move between pages. Without it you would log in on every click.Until you sign out or it expires
Active shopRemembers which shop you are working in, for owners with more than one.Until changed or cleared
Local app storageHolds queued sales and cached product data so the till keeps working when the connection drops, plus small preferences like a remembered filter.Until synced, or you clear site data
Cloudflare securitySet by our CDN to distinguish real visitors from automated attacks.Up to 30 days

All of these are strictly necessary: the product genuinely does not work without them. The offline queue in particular holds real transaction data on the device until it syncs — clearing your browser’s site data while sales are still queued will lose them.

Controlling them

You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, but blocking the session cookie will stop you signing in. Our marketing pages read perfectly well with cookies blocked.
